Visual arts in the
20th century

In the 20th century, the visual arts played a crucial role in the development of art and culture. This century was marked by important artistic movements such as Expressionism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art and Conceptual Art.

The artists of the 20th century revolutionized traditional notions of art and set new standards for artistic creativity. The avant-garde movements of the early 20th century, such as Cubism and Futurism, brought a new way of representing shapes, colors, and perspectives to the art world.

Since the 1970s, the art-loving entrepreneur built up her collection.
