Förderverein Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft Geisa e.V.
The association promotes art, culture and science, education and training in the premises of the ANNELIESE DESCHAUER Gallery.
Education and upbringing in focus
An appointed goal of the sponsoring association is the age-appropriate introduction of children and young people to the fields of art, culture and science as well as public relations work with regard to education, upbringing and work with children and young people. This is done in close cooperation with other institutions such as local schools or Point Alpha.
Experience art and culture in Geisa
Across all age groups, the Friends organizes various events, art exhibitions, seminars, workshops and interactive group work at the ANNELIESE DESCHAUER Gallery, either by itself or in conjunction with other non-profit corporations, funded by donations.
Since the opening of the gallery in May 2018, the sponsoring association has regularly given artists the opportunity to present their art in Geisa.
The changing exhibitions in the gallery are opened with a vernissage, often with live music by regional artists.
The association regularly invites to public lectures on various topics, which are always very well received.
High school graduates from Vacha presented their seminar paper on the Geisa-born moss researcher Adalbert Geheeb in the gallery.
Examples of past events and courses
The sponsoring association offers changing courses for children and young people in the studio rooms of the ANNELIESE DESCHAUER Gallery. Access to the studio spaces is located at the rear of the gallery.
Honorary board of the association
Since its founding, the support association has grown from 14 to over 60 members. Based on a resolution of the city council of 03.05.2017, the city of Geisa is also a member of the sponsoring association.
