Anneliese-Deschauer-Galerie Geisa is presenting a special exhibition by the Rhön painter, graphic artist and artist Werner Schwarz to mark his 100th birthday.
The public vernissage will take place on September 13, 2024 at 7 pm. Admission is from 6 pm.
The Förderverein Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft Geisa e. V. invites all interested parties to attend and promises an entertaining evening,because in addition to a varied exhibition, there will also be live music with Latin American jazz presented by Kalle Aschenbach from Bad Salzungen as a special highlight. Here in the region, Werner Schwarz is still remembered by many people for founding and running the painting and drawing circle at Kali in Merkers for many years.
This is also where hobby painter Erhard Röhr from Borsch once learned to paint and still remembers the Dermbach artist well.

On the occasion of his 100th birthday on September 13th, an exhibition worth seeing will commemorate the fused original Rhöner.
Using selected works, it demonstrates the broad spectrum of his work, which established his fame and made him famous far beyond the region’s borders.
The radiance of his impressive painting remains unbroken – even after the artist’s death in 2010.
