Prof. Dr. Bernhard Vogel was a guest in Geisa – he was Minister President for 23 years, including 11 years in Thuringia from 1992. He was awarded the Point Alpha Prize in 2020. On the weekend of November 11, 2023, he visited Geisa Castle with a small tour group, where he was welcomed by Mayor Manuela Henkel. Together with Berthold Dücker, they visited the Point Alpha memorial, for whose preservation Vogel was largely responsible, and the ANNELIESE DESCHAUER Gallery in Geisa.
There, the visitors were welcomed by members of the Förderverein Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft Geisa e. V. (Geisa Art, Culture and Science Association). During a tour of the gallery, the guests were very impressed by the works of the famous artists and Dagmar Nicklich’s expert explanations. They smiled at Horst Saar’s caricatures and then enjoyed homemade Martin’s croissants over a cup of coffee.
Bernhard Vogel signed the gallery’s guest book with the following words:
